3 Pilots a Year On…
So a year on from starting our Active Learning & Sensory Pathways journey and it’s time to report on how our pilots have been running.
Our Active Learning Floor and Wall Stickers have been developed to support the teaching of Literacy, Numeracy, Health and Wellbeing through indoor movement.
Using the many designs from our Active Learning Sensory Path Stickers range we have developed Stencils that can be used to paint Sensory Pathways for Playgrounds!
Keep your School, Staff and Pupils safe with our Social Distancing Sticker Range. Just peel, stick and go.
Programmes in North America (#Don’t Walk in the Hallway) have found that by encouraging active movement within school building, teachers have found that children can increase their movement by roughly 1000 steps per day!
By applying robust and safe floor stickers to corridors and open indoors floor space you can you can instantly promote movement around the school.
We have developed a range of Active Learning products to help encourage movement & brain breaks in the Corridor, Playgrounds and the Home.
Richard McCombe (B.Ed Hons) graduated from Glasgow University in 1995 and was employed as a primary teacher within North Lanarkshire for 8 years. In 2003 Richard left to start Matic Media which is a signage and display graphics manufacturer. Working for 13 local authorities in Scotland and many familiar brands like Sky, GSK, Chivas, Matic Media has become a well recognised supplier in industry for signs and display.
“This is a great project for us to be involved in. Coming from a formal education background with a passion for graphic arts, I was instantly attracted to the development of ways to merge what we have learnt in industry with my experience as a teacher. The results are amazing, and we’re keen to promote this product range to educational establishment so that they are affordable to all education establishments during times when budgets are under immense pressure.”
Schools in Scotland who have access to PEF (Pupil Equity Fund) can utilise some of their budget towards our packs as they meet the criteria outlined by the Scottish Government, however.we have priced our packs so they can be affordable to all schools so that think making accessible movement to all pupils is attainable with very low investment for immediate and impactful results.
